GSP NARRATIVE:
“On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Troopers responded to a crash in Hall county. The investigation determined a Toyota Camry turned left from Farmbrook Lane onto SR 332 (Poplar Springs Rd). The driver of the Camry, Quang Long Tran, 53, of Gainesville, failed to yield after stopping at the stop sign and entered the path of an oncoming Ford F-250.
The F-250, driven by Lizandra Franco Canales, 25, of Gainesville, struck the driver’s side door of the Camry within the intersection. All four occupants of the Camry were transported to a local hospital for treatment, as was the driver of the F-250. Quang Long Tran succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The left backseat passenger, Toan Thi Tran, 67, suffered serious injuries. The front seat passenger, Dong Cong Tran, 67, and a 12-year-old male child who was sitting the middle of the back seat of the Camry were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.”
