While his parents, his Utah kin and the college he attended mourn his death, a Cumming man who died in a weekend traffic accident in Idaho, a GoFundMe account has been established for his family.
The 23-year-old who attended Brigham Young University-Idaho was killed Saturday night when the car being driven by another young Cumming man, whose name had not been released at last check, overturned near the Utah state line.
And we’re learning more about Jason “Jay” Mills short-lived life.
According to his obituary, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he served a two-year church mission in the Pocatello area from August 2022 to August 2024.
A BYU-Idaho spokesman said Mills had been a student there for a year and was majoring in biology. His obituary says he graduated from a Forsyth County High School.
The GoFundMe post reads, “Jay touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. The Mills family is facing unimaginable heartbreak, and their friends and community are coming together to support them in any way possible.”
