Forsyth County detectives do not suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found Thursday night near the boat ramp at Six Mile Creek. The man has been identified as Murtuza Sayani of Lilburn.
“Forsyth County Fire Department was able to retrieve the body and bring it shore,” Forsyth sheriff’s spokeswoman Stacie Miller said Friday morning.
Miller added “The investigation revealed this was intentional act and no foul play is suspected.”

EARLIER STORY. POSTED THURSDAY NIGHT: Details were sketchy late Thursday night, but a body was found floating in Lake Lanier at Six Mill Creek in Forsyth County earlier in the evening. The Forsyth Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that there was a “heavy” police and fire presence in that area. It added that the body was found near the boat ramp. No word on whether it was a man or woman.
