The FAA Monday issued a bit more information on the “hard landing” that occurred at the Gainesville airport (pictured) Friday night, but it contains little that is new from what 97.5 Gory FM had already reported.
It confirmed what an FAA statement Saturday said and what Gainesville Police reported Friday night. “Pilot experienced a medical issue and the passenger landed the aircraft ‘hard’ on the runway,” Monday’s report said.
The pilot was taken from the airport in critical condition and the passenger was also taken to the hospital, condition unknown. Monday’s report does show that the single-engine Cessna 150 is owned by KAP TITLE INC. of Tucker.
