UPDATE: Details on accident from which injured driver fled on foot

Thursday night, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office issued a public appeal (see accompanying graphic) for help in locating the driver of a car who, though injured, fled on foot.

Friday, the investigating agency, the Georgia State Patrol, released preliminary details on the accident.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On Thursday, September 7, at approximately 4:50 p.m., a black Nissan Sentra was traveling northbound on Glade Farm Road. Vehicle 1 failed to maintain their lane crossing the centerline and the westbound fog line. Vehicle 1 continued traveling off the roadway into a ditch before striking a tree, causing the vehicle to roll over onto the hood. The driver of the vehicle, who sustained injuries from the crash, left the scene before Law Enforcement arrived.”
