UPDATE: Atlanta passes ICE-related resolutions

On the heels of plans by the federal government (which are now on hold) to place immigration processing/detention centers in Oakwood and Social Circle, the Atlanta City Council Monday night approved a resolution that addresses a possible similar move on Atlanta. A second ICE-related resolution was also okayed.

According to Fox 5, one measure opposes using any facilities in the city to detain immigrants and the second is intended to clarify how local officials track and report interactions connected to federal immigration enforcement.
