UPDATE: K9 team credited with finding youngster

An 8-year-old was found Sunday night after a brief search that closed a section of McEver Road for a time – and a Hall County Sheriff’s Office K9 team is credited was finding him. A sheriff’s office spokeswoman said Monday the team was Deputy Aaron Norrell and K9 Bo.  Bo is a 3-year-old bloodhound, and he is used specifically for tracking.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE FROM EARLIER STORY:

“The (search) involved an 8-year-old child who had run away from home.

911 was called and an HCSO K9 team went to the scene on McEver Road near Pine Circle. The section of McEver at the bridge over Lake Lanier was closed to traffic while the search was underway.

The K9 team found the child approximately 15 minutes after the search began. The child was returned to his home.”
