It’s been 17 years since 44-year-old Cheryl Williams Frady was found murdered in her bedroom at her Dawson County home and the GBI has issued a new public appeal for information in the case.
Frady’s body was found about 4:00 the afternoon of April 5, 2008 in the basement bedroom at her home on Brookwood Drive.
According to the GBI and the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), authorities arrived a short time later and found that Frady, who had been shot. Her death was determined to be a homicide. Frady lived with her mother and stepfather and was last heard from at around 1:30 that morning.
The GBI issued a new plea for information Monday, two days after the anniversary of her death. Anyone with information about the case, is asked to contact the GBI tip line at 1-800-597-8477.
