Hall County recorded another increase in first-time applications for unemployment insurance in January.
The state labor department (GDOL) also says claims statewide were up 3.9% over the month in January and down 19.7% over the year.
In Hall County, the increase was 99.2% over December and 130.5% more than a year earlier.
georgia.gov says these figures can be attributed to the state’s economic growth, job demand and the lingering impact of COVID-19.
