U.S. News evaluated 171 hospitals in Georgia – and Gainesville’s Northeast Georgia Medical Center was tops in one category.
Fifteen of the hospitals met U.S. News standards and are recognized as Best Regional Hospitals. The number one hospital in the state is Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital.
But Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville was the only one out of the 171 that aced all 22 adult procedures and conditions. It is rated third among all Georgia hospitals behind only Emory and Emory St. Joseph’s, both in Atlanta.
