*Two students at North Hall High School, Elizabeth Reed and Spencer Perry, and have created a device that can test water quality in several ways. It recently won the Agriculture and Food Award at K-12 InVenture and will compete in the K-12 InVenture Prize Nationals June 3-5.
*Cresswind at Lake Laner, hosted 30+ first responders at recently for the Annual First Responders Parade. In addition to the parade through the 55+ age community at Browns Bridge Road and McEver Road and Montgomery Drive, the Cresswind Community Fund raised funds to give $1,000 each to the Gainesville Police Foundation, Hall County Sheriff Community Foundation, Inc, Gainesville Fire Department Community Fund, and Hall County Fire Rescue.
*Water service will be interrupted from 1827 Athens St. to 2110 Athens St. Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to complete water main improvements. This will also include Moore Lane, Eva Street, and Half Circle, according to Gainesville Water Resources.
