Two more Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Wanted Wednesday fugitives are in custody.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Warrant Service Unit deputies recently arrested a Buford man who was wanted for false imprisonment and other charges related to a domestic incident last month.
On Tuesday morning…deputies took custody of Oren Jake Moss, 43, in the 3000 block of Shoreland Drive, the same location where the crimes took place. Moss is charged in connection with a Jan. 26 evening call deputies responded to at the residence.
According to the preliminary investigation, Moss argued with the 40-year-old female victim, stating he would, “beat your (her) ass.” He was holding a handgun at the time, refusing to let the woman leave a bathroom in the home. The victim pushed past Moss, left the house and locked herself in her vehicle while a family member called 911. Moss left the scene on foot while deputies were en route.
Deputies attempted a K9 track for Moss but were not successful. They obtained arrest warrants for Moss on charges of false imprisonment and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, both felonies. They also secured a warrant for simple assault under the Family Violence Act, a misdemeanor.
Deputies took Moss to the Hall County Jail following Tuesday’s arrest. He remained held without bond on Wednesday afternoon…
HCSO featured Moss on social media in its Jan. 29 edition of WANTED WEDNESDAY.”
Also now in lockup is Carlos Jovan Riveria, 32, Gainesville. He was picked up about 12 hours later in the 3000 block of Old Cleveland Road. He had been wanted since last fall on domestic-related charges as well.
That brings to at least four the number of fugitive arrests announced this week by the sheriff’s office. (See separate story posted Wednesday in addition to this one posted Tuesday: Hall Co. escapee back in custody)
