Two left homeless by early morning fire

HALL CO. FIRE RESCUE (HCFR) NEED RELEASE:

“At approximately 4:15 am, Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 5000 block of Weaver Road for reports of a residential fire. The first arriving units found a two story structure on a basement with heavy fire throughout.

Crews began an offensive fire attack once fire was discovered in the back side of the home. The flames extended into the attic, but HCFR personnel were able to make contact and extinguish the bulk of the fire.

The American Red Cross was notified for two displaced adults and one dog. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.”
