Two Hall County-based non-profit organizations are getting a combined $30,000 in grants from the Jackson EMC Foundation in the organization’s latest round of grants.
St. Vincent DePaul Prince of Peace in Flowery Branch and Habit for Humanity of Hall County have each been awarded $10,500. The former will use its funds for an in-house program that helps people on the brink of homelessness in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties as well as Hall.
Habat’s grant will go toward its Aging in Place program to provide heating units in the homes of low-income families in Hall County.
The foundation’s latest Operation Round-Up grants for non-profits in the electric co-op’s service area total $81,246.
