Two Buford High School students are among five young men, all from Gwinnett County, from the Ninth Congressional District who recently received an appointment to one of the country’s service academies.
They are Jayden Ivaniciuc and Vince Lamour-Johnson who each received appointments to the Air Force Academy.
Also receiving appointments from Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County) were:
Kyle Lee | Peachtree Ridge High School | U.S. Military Academy at West Point
Adam Glynn | North Gwinnett High School | U.S. Naval Academy
Logan Weaver | North Gwinnett High School | U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Congressman Clyde recently delivered congratulatory remarks during a ceremony at his district office in Gainesville and presented each of the nominees with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition.
