*The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has announced that 18 students from the university’s School of Fashion have received 2025 scholarships from the Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) program. SCAD’s top-ranked School of Fashion students from the FSF Class of 2025 made history, earning more than $200,000 in scholarships. Two from the immediate Gainesville area are among them: Kennedi White of Barrow County and Victoria (Tori) Carannante of Buford.
*The Banks County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has been accredited through the Office of Sheriff Accreditation Program (OSAP), making it one of the first five counties in Georgia to achieve this recognition through the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association. OSAP is an accreditation program that aims to acknowledge the highest standards of professionalism in the areas specific to the Office of the Sheriff.
