Two charged with burglary

Two men are in the Hall County Jail on felony burglary charges following a break-in at a residence in the 3200 block of Cleveland Highway earlier this month.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to the residence the evening of April 12…after the victims called to report someone had broken into their home and stolen several items, including two televisions, a Fire TV Stick, an Xbox 360 and controllers, and assorted pieces of jewelry.

The victims were able to provide video footage of two men entering the residence around 11 a.m. that same day. The video footage also showed a silver Mitsubishi SUV, which was later found abandoned in Lumpkin County.

The case was turned over to an HCSO property crimes investigator. During the course of the investigation, the investigator identified the suspects as Anthony Ta, 30, of Statham, and Tyler Keith Adams, 39, of Oakwood. He was able to determine the pair had left Hall County and traveled to the Athens area. Personnel with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office worked with HCSO to locate and arrest both suspects.

Mr. Ta was transported to the Hall County Jail on April 18, while Mr. Adams was transported to the Hall County Jail on April 21. Each suspect is charged with one count of burglary-residential.  Both remain in jail with no bond.”
