Twin brothers charged with armed robbery

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies on Tuesday arrested two brothers wanted in an
early-November armed robbery on Skelton Road.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Patrol, K9 and Warrant Service Unit deputies found Santiago Morales Villalobos, 27, of Gainesville, at roughly 3 p.m., hiding in the back of an SUV at a gas station at the corner of McEver and Mundy Mill Roads. They located and arrested his twin brother, Fredik Morales Villalobos, of Gainesville, at approximately 4 p.m. in an apartment in the 800 block of Summit Street SW.

The brothers are charged with one count each of armed robbery (felony) and theft by taking (misdemeanor) for the Nov. 3 incident in the 1800 block of Sketlon Road. According to the preliminary investigation by the HCSO Special Investigations Unit (SIU), the suspects used a machete to rob a man, 50, of his leaf blower. No one suffered injuries.

Following Tuesday’s arrests, both men were booked into the Hall County Jail, where they’re being held
without bond.”
