*Attention Hall County doggies and owners: The wait is over. The Large Dog Park at Laurel Park has reopened after being closed almost two years ago for renovations. It opened as of last Thursday. EARLIER STORY. POSTED FEB. 17, 2024: The dog park for large dogs at Laurel Park will be closed for renovations beginning Monday. In the meantime, small and large dogs will be combined in the in the park for small dogs. A notice on the Hall County Parks & Leisure Services Facebook page says, however, if you are not comfortable with intermingling your pup, please note they are welcome to play on any of the greenspaces throughout the park – but they must be on a 6-foot leash and are not allowed inside the baseball fields and tennis/pickleball courts.
