In a well-known cross town rivalry, the North Hall Trojans defeat the Chestatee War Eagles 28-14, in ‘The Battle of Highway 60’. The Trojans are now 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in region 6-AAA play. Meanwhile, the War Eagles are 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in region play. North Hall has now won 21 of the last 23 games played against Chestatee High, loosing in 2005 and 2017.
The game was scoreless in the first quarter, North Hall then taking the lead by a touchdown in the second quarter. Chestatee then tied the game after a 41 yard touchdown by Ben Plemmons. North Hall scored again before the half, but missed the extra point making the score 13-7. The War Eagles Scored again early in the third quarter to take lead 13-14. North Hall then scored twice in the second half to win the ballgame, with a two-point conversion in the third quarter.
Next week, the Trojans go on the road to take on the White County Warriors, while the Chestatee War Eagles head to the Burial Grounds in Dahlonega to take on the Lumpkin County Indians.
