The man charged in the disappearance earlier this year of a 12-year-old Gainesville girl is scheduled to go on trial in Ohio next spring. The Zanesville, Ohio, Times-Recorder reports Antion Augustin-Ailon’s trial date is March 5.
Augustin-Ailon of Dover, Ohio, was arrested in Ohio several weeks after Maria Gomez-Perez disappeared from her west Gainesville home in late May. He’s been held in an Ohio jail since his arrest in that state. In August Augustin-Ailon was indicted by a Tuscarawas County, Ohio grand jury on these charges:
*Rape (Two Counts)
*Gross Sexual Imposition
*Pandering sexually-oriented matters involving a minor or impaired person (Two Counts)
*Interference with custody
