GA DOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY:

WHAT: Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and contractor E.R. Snell will be installing bridge beams over Interstate (I) 985 southbound on Elachee Drive.  Uniformed police officers and contractor vehicles will perform traffic paces between milepost 21.5 and 18.25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Thursday, September 21, 2023. Southbound traffic on exit 20 will be held until the traffic pace proceeds past the exit. Congestion is likely to occur and back up traffic on the ramp and State Route 60 during this 4 hour event.   

WHEN: The pacing will occur on Thursday mid-morning, September 21, 2023 beginning at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. weather permitting. 

WHERE: This operation will impact southbound traffic on I-985 from milepost 21.5 to 18.25.  Delays are anticipated. Consider alternate route.’
