Traffic enforcement campaign in Habsersham ends with nearly 3,000 citations issued

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office works in cooperation with the Governor’s Office of Highway
Safety on several traffic safety mobilizations throughout each year. HCSO’s goal of participation in
these high visibility traffic campaigns is to keep Habersham County roadways safe, by reducing
serious injury and fatal crashes.

During the 2025, 100 Days of Summer HEAT Traffic Enforcement Mobilization, a unified effort of HCSO
Special Operations H.E.A.T (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) Units, Patrol Deputies, and
the Georgia State Patrol worked diligently to keep our roadways safe.

The conclusion of this mobilization resulted in a reduction in serious injury crashes from previous years and ZERO fatalities on Habersham County Roads during this mobilization period that includes a date range of 5/19/2025-9/2/2025.
