Truett McConnell University (TMU) has begun a nationwide search for a new president following the dismissal of President Emir Caner last month in the midst of a sex scandal that rocked the Baptist-affiliated Cleveland school.
A statement released by the Board of Trustees says a Presidential Search Committee is seeking “a dedicated and visionary individual to lead the University into its next chapter of academic and spiritual excellence.”
Nov. 28 is the deadline nominations and applications.
The board says candidates should be “recognized, active leaders in the Baptist faith” with “proven skills in public and personal relations” and a record of advancing both academic and spiritual growth.
