Schools in Buford, Commerce, Jefferson and Lumpkin County are on the list, which includes 154 from around the state.
The Distinguished Schools designation recognizes the highest-performing Title I schools in Georgia, while the Reward Schools designation recognizes Title I schools making the most significant improvements.
The Buford schools on the list are Buford Academy, Buford Senior Academy, and Buford Middle School. Also included are Commerce Elementary, Jefferson Elementary and Jefferson Academy, and Pine Grove and Long Brach elementary in Lumpkin County.
