A two-car accident at an intersection on Georgia 365 injured three people, two seriously, early Saturday afternoon. Two children were among the injured

STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“(About 12:30) a trooper from the Gainesville Post of Georgia State Patrol responded to the area of SR-365…and Tribble Gap Road, to investigate a traffic crash.

Upon arrival, the trooper determined that a 2019 Chevy Traverse was traveling westbound on Tribble Gap Road (and) the driver, Kimberly Eller, 32, of Gainesville, was attempting to cross SR-365. Eller failed to yield to oncoming traffic after stopping at the stop sign on Tribble Gap Road.

The front of Eller’s vehicle struck the left side of a 2010 Honda Insight, driven by Kenney Aguilar, 27, of Toccoa. Aguilar’s vehicle was traveling southbound on SR-365 in the right lane when it was struck. After the initial impact, Aguilar’s vehicle left the southwest shoulder of the roadway, striking a street sign, before coming to rest off the roadway. After the initial impact, Eller’s vehicle continued westbound, striking a street sign, before coming to rest on Tribble Gap Road.

Aguilar and his passenger, Rebeca Aguilar, 61, of Toccoa, were both entrapped in their vehicle. Both Aguilar and his passenger had to be extricated from their vehicle by Hall County Emergency Services and transported for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Eller, along with her two juvenile children, ages 8 and 13, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Eller was cited for failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign.

Both southbound lanes of SR-365 were shut down for approximately 1 ½ hours for the crash investigation.”
