Three children among five people injured in S. Hall wreck

STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On Friday…at approximately 1:00 PM, a trooper from GSP-Gainesville responded to the area of Hog Mountain Road and Oakfern Trail in Hall County to investigate a two-vehicle collision.

During the investigation, it was determined that a black Jeep Cherokee, driven by William McGrew, 41, of Flowery Branch, was traveling southbound on Hog Mountain and failed to negotiate a slight right-hand curve.

Mr. McGrew’s vehicle traveled across the centerline and into the northbound lane where it struck a Toyota Camry, operated by Jennifer Lynn Roberts, 51, of Flowery Branch.  After impact, the Jeep traveled off the east shoulder and came to rest, while the Camry rotated in a clockwise manner and came to rest across both lanes of Hog Mountain Road.

Mr. McGrew, Ms. Roberts, and Mr. McGrew’s three juvenile passengers were transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Mr. McGrew was cited for failure to maintain lane.”
