*A 36-year-old man was arrested Friday morning on criminal damage to property and three theft charges. He was being held at the Lumpkin County Jail on unspecified charges at the time Hall County sheriff’s deputies picked him up and returned him to Gainesville. In addition to criminal damage to property, he is also charged with two counts of theft by taking, greater than $1,500 and motor vehicle theft.
*Oakwood Police report the arrest of a 38-year-old man on cruelty to animals, simple battery under the family violence act, and reckless conduct charges. He was arrested Thursday morning, according to Hall County Jail records.
Other details of each of these cases will not likely be known until Monday after local law enforcement offices reopen following the weekend.
