The winner of the Nov. 14 Mega Millions jackpot, $983 million, has finally claimed their record-breaking prize, Georgia Lottery Corp. President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said Tuesday.
The payout surpassed the previous record, a Powerball $478.2 million jackpot from October 2024 which was shared by two people in Buford, who each received $230.6 million.
The $983 million winner chose to remain anonymous. All we know is the winning ticket was bought at a Publix in Newnan.
