An Abilene, Texas, man, Brandon Scroggins, faces federal charges of threatening Barrow County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm and the Barrow County District Attorney’s Office on the sentencing day for Colin Gray, the father of Apalachee High School mass shooter Colt Gray.
Scroggins allegedly called the D.A.’s office and told the receptionist that he was coming to “take out” Barrow County because of “injustice.” Shortly after that, he’s alleged to have called the district attorney’s office again and left a voicemail threatening to travel to Georgia and harm the office’s employees and their children.
A minute later, the 39-year-old Scroggins allegedly called Judge Primm’s chambers and left a voicemail stating that “a death date just came up for Nicholas Primm.”
Scroggins is charged with transmitting interstate communications containing threats to injure another person. He also faces charges in Alabama of threatening a federal judge there, and state charges in Texas related to harassing phone calls.
