If you’ve enjoyed the break this week from the stifling heat we’ve had for most of the summer, brace yourself: It’s coming back over the next few days. Yes, those cooler, low humidity, breezy mornings will just be a memory.
The cooler weather even stretched into middle and south Georgia. Macon, for instance, tied the record low for Friday – 59 degrees – which was set in 1930.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said Friday high temperatures in the 90s and lows in the 70s will begin making a return this weekend – and by late in the coming week those highs coud be reaching the upper 90s again in some places, including Gainesville.
The rising temperatures are also expected be accompanied by dry weather.
