South Hall man charged with DeKalb Co. murder

A Flowery Branch man has been charged with a DeKalb County murder that occurred earlier this month.

Jeremy Baker, 32, was arrested Wednesday by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad. He is charged with murder and armed robbery in the August 2 death of Rayshaad Jones, 28, Lithonia.

Arrest warrants allege that the shooting stemmed from an argument involving several people and a dispute over a stolen cell phone. At some point, Baker allegedly pulled a gun and shot Jones, who died later at a hospital.
