“Sylvester (Sly) Stallone is back in the area filming Season 4 of “Tulsa King.” This time the shooting is taking place in Winder and is scheduled to wrap up this weekend. *Brian Munhall has been named Director of the Forsyth County’s Department of Public Facilities. Munhall brings over 30 years of experience in management to the position. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Department.
*Cornelia’s Community Development Director Jessie Owensby is leaving the post to become White County’s Director of Community and Economic Development effective March 3.
*Habersham County Commissioner Jimmy Tench is resigning effective Feb. 13. In a brief letter addressed to other members of the commission, Tench said he is stepping down for unspecified “medical reasons.” And the county’s Public Works Director, Jerry Baggett, is resigning effective February 11. He’s held the position since 2021.
