*The Forsyth County Fire Department hosted a grand opening recently at the county’s new Fire Station #9 at 8420 McBride Ln. just off Browns Bridge Road near the Hall County line. It replaces the previous Station 9 which was on Browns Bridge Road. Photos from the event, which featured a hose uncoupling, a fire department’s equivalent of a ribbon-cutting, can be found here.
*Lybi Cucurullo, a conceptual artist and former Brenau University professor, has been appointed as the new school’s Director of Galleries. In her new role, Cucurullo will be responsible for overseeing Brenau’s five exhibition spaces and the university’s collection of over 3,500 works from both internationally and nationally renowned artists, as well as local talent.
