A shooting was reported on Bethel Road in Forsyth County Saturday night, but the sheriff’s office is saying very little, at this point, about what happened.
“As many of you have seen, heard, and sent messages requesting details, there has been a lot of police activity in the area of Bethel Rd off Browns Bridge Rd in Northeast Forsyth County,” says a posting on the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Facebook page that appears to have gone up about midnight Saturday. “We are limited in what we can say at the moment due to it being a current event and open investigation.”
The posting goes on to say “Just know that we have the situation under control. More information to come in the next few days.”
Records do show that one person was booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Gun and is being held without bond.
