A Sugar Hill man, Trevaughn Wilson, 24, was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Georgia 11 in Jackson County Friday morning. The state patrol reported Saturday that it happened about 7:30 about half-a-mile west of W.J. Dills Road.
Troopers say Wilson was approaching traffic that had stopped because of congestion and that his SUV clipped the rear of one vehicle as he swerved to miss it, touching off a chain-reaction involving one other vehicle.
Wilson’s vehicle, “with the amount of speed carried,” the investigating trooper wrote, “and direction it struck…rolls over end over end through the left lane of west bound traffic (coming to) an uncontrolled rest facing west in the grass shoulder of westbound traffic.”
Wilson suffered the only injury and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
