Sentencing in Jackson Co. teen’s murder; East Gville street closing

*Two of the three accused killers of a Jefferson High school student at a Gwinnett County shopping center almost two years ago are now admitted killers. They entered their guilty pleas Monday in the shooting death of 17-year-old Elijah DeWitt. One was given life without parole; the other was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole. It was not immediately clear Monday whether the third suspect will also enter a guilty plea or stand trial.

*The Gainesville Water Resources Department announced Monday that both lanes of Crescent Drive will be closed to thru traffic Wednesday from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Traffic will be routed around the closure through Jesse Jewell Parkway.
