Gwinnett Police now have a picture of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run near Hoschton a week ago that injured a teenager.

(Hoschton, Ga., Feb. 17, 2026) – Investigators have been able to obtain a photo and have identified the suspect vehicle as a Buick Encore GX.

(Hoschton, Ga., Feb. 17, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run of a juvenile on a scooter.
On February 11, at approximately 4:55 p.m. a 14-year-old was on a motorized scooter on Hog Mountain Road near Silver Crest Way. A small gray SUV changed lanes and went around a group of juveniles on motorized scooters. When the SUV came back into the lane it hit the 14-year-old causing him to crash. The juvenile sustained several broken bones from the crash.
The Accident Investigation Unit is looking to identify the SUV involved in the crash. If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact GCPD at 678.442.5653.”
