Sat. Police Beat: Burglary, Drug distribution, A Texas fugitive, April traffic fatality

*Hall County authorities are investigating a residential burglary in the 3200 block of Thousand Oaks Drive. It was reported Friday morning about 9:30 but occurred between 8:00 a.m. Wednesday 7:00 p.m. Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office.

*A 27-year-old man was arrested Thursday night and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute and Sell Marijuana. He’s also charged with DUI and other drug- and traffic-related offenses. Bond has been set at $4,290 and at mid-morning Saturday he was still in the Hall County Jail.

*A 36-year-old man wanted in Denton, Texas, on drug and Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement charges, is in the Hall County Jail following his arrest by the state patrol during a traffic stop Wednesday night. Other charges include Speeding and Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License.

*CLARIFICATIO/CORRECTION TO STORY THAT WAS POSTED FRIDAY: A second person is now facing charges that include Vehicular Homicide in the First Degree following an April traffic accident in South Hall that left one person dead.
