A Flowery Branch man remains in the Hall County Jail following his arrest Thursday on charges of possession and distribution of child sex abuse material (CSAM).
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
“Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit received a cyber tip Monday that led them to Steven Joseph
Robertson, 32, a registered sex offender.
The investigation determined that Robertson on July 12 had shared via social media videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
After serving a search warrant at Robertson’s residence on Compass Drive, investigators
were able to charge the suspect with 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of children,
five related to the possession of CSAM and five for distribution of CSAM.
They also seized several electronic devices belonging to the suspect. Depending on results of forensic
processing of the devices, Robertson could face additional criminal charges.”
