Sorrow said at 11:15 that all service should be restored and that the outage was caused by an equipment failure at a substation.

A power outage in the Oakwood area about mid morning today affected about 5,000 Jackson EMC members.
April Sorrow, a spokeswoman for the electric co-op, said about 10:30 power had been restored to some. The remaining outages were in the McEver Road area.
Meanwhile, the Hall County Sheriffโs reports the main telephone number for the county jail is temporarily out of service.
