S.C. man allegedly traveled to Gville to have sex with minor

A South Carolina man was being held in the Hall County Jail Monday afternoon after he reportedly traveled to Gainesville over the weekend to have sex with an underage girl.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“Tymir Markese Sapp, 21, of North, S.C., has been (charged with child molestation, statutory rape and aggravated sexual battery) all of which are felonies.

After receiving a report from a relative of the victim over the weekend, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies contacted an investigator with the agency’s Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) who interviewed Sapp…

The investigation to date has determined that Sapp and the victim had been communicating with one another for about six months via a social media app. Sapp traveled to Hall County to meet the girl at a residence in the East Hall area. While there, Sapp had sexual contact with the victim. The investigation determined Sapp was aware the girl was under the age of 16.”

Sapp was arrested on Sunday.
