The average commuter in Gainesville-Hall County lost 35 hours in traffic last year, according to a Texas A&M Transportation Institute study. The 2025 Urban Mobility Report also says that compares to 36 hours in 2023.
And for the thousands of you in northeast Georgia who commute to Atlanta, the average there was 87 hours. That means Atlanta was in the top 10 for traffic congestion among major metropolitan areas in the country.
Back in Gainesville-Hall County, the congestion here cost each motorist last year $619 compared to $638 the year before.
