Replacement bridge connecting Hall-Dawson counties opens; two lanes of a busy Barrow Co. 4-lane will close for 2 years Monday

The new bridge on Georgia 183 at the Hall-Dawson County line reopened Friday morning. It replaces a bridge OVER Cochran Creek that was built in 1940. Meanwhile, one lane in each direction on Georgia 316 in Barrow County will close for two years Monday between Harry McCarty Road to Harrison Mill Road for concrete pours to tie in all ramps along the corridor and to allow the moving of concrete barriers to protect workers and equipment.
