Week 9 of ‘Friday Night Football in North Georgia’ features a public vs. private school match up, as the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans take on the North Hall Trojans.
The Spartans come in at 3-0 in region 6-AAA play, following wins against Lumpkin County, Johnson, and Dawson County. The team is currently 3-3 on the season, with losses to Newnan, Decatur, and Westminster, in the first three games of the season.
The Trojans are also looking for a 4th straight region win, with victories over Chestatee, White County, and Pickens. The team is 4-2 on the season, with losses to Wesleyan and Cherokee Bluff.
Week Off Good for Injuries
North Hall comes into this week’s match up after a two-week break, following a 43-27 victory over the Dragons of Pickens County.
In preparation for WGTJ’s ‘Game Plan’, Mike Wofford spoke with North Hall’s Sean Pender and asked how the week off was for the team.
“It was definitely good for us to have that off week. . .” he stated. “. . . It helped us with some little bumps and bruises that we had. . .two weeks to prepare is always good. . .”
All teams in 6-AAA had the evening off last week, except for Dawson County and Johnson.
