Hall County School Board Member Brian Sloan, who was appointed to the board last year, plans to seek a full term next year.
Sloan was named to the board following the resignation of Mark Petit, who stepped down to run for Hall County Clerk of Courts.
Sloan had previously served on the board for eleven years starting in 2008.
