You might be wondering if there is stepped up security (on the streets around the school and/or on campus, itself) following Thursday’s incident at Gainesville High School.
Police say there is not.
“Because it was an isolated incident, we have not stepped up patrols,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Friday morning, adding, “We do have multiple SROs (School Resource Officers) and security staff at GHS on a daily basis.”
Two women and a juvenile were arrested (see earlier story) about 4:30 following an altercation outside the school complex but on campus.
