*A 47-year-old man – Andrea Valvenus Hunter – is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond following his arrest in connection with a stabbing Monday night at a Gainesville homeless shelter that left the victim critically wounded. “Police responded to Good News at Noon for a subject that was stabbed,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said. Holbrook added that the 41-year-old victim was stabbed in the abdomen and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition. “Investigators found information that led them to Hunter as the suspect. Working with Gwinnett Police we were able to take Hunter into custody without incident.”
*A 24-year-old man is facing seven counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud after, according to Gainesville Police, he used credit cards he found in a lost wallet. “(Tyler Richard) Bachman used debit/credit cards at multiple locations around the city,” Capt. Holbrook said. He’s also charged with two counts of Theft by Taking – Less than $1,500. As of early Wednesday afternoon, Bachman, who was arrested Friday, was still in the Hall County Jail where he was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $18,900.
