HALL CO. FIRE RESCUE NEWS RELEASE:
“Engine 5 responded to Storybrook Academy in reference to an automatic alarm. Engine 5 arrived on scene of the small single story commercial structure with smoke visible and requested more units.
The fire was contained to one room of origin that had an automatic sprinkler activation which assisted in extinguishing. Falcon Parkway was temporarily shut down due to the hose lines crossing the street.
Smoke was ventilated by the crews, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.”
EARLIER STORY. POSTED 6:20 A.M.:
We don’t yet know the extent of damage but there was a fire overnight at Storybrook Academy, a pre-school located on Falcon Parkway in South Hall.
That’s according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office which issued a traffic alert about 1:00 warning motorists that Falcon Parkway was closed just south of Martin Road because of the fire. The road was not reopened until about 2:30.
Hall County Fire Rescue has not released any information about the fire.
