The driver of a pickup that collided with a Hall County school bus Friday afternoon was injured in the collision and taken to a hospital. The state patrol issued a report on the west Gainesville accident Sunday afternoon.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(It happened at Browns Bridge Road and Memorial Park Drive and the pickup was) towing a trailer.
The bus was traveling east, on Browns Bridge Road, in the left travel lane. The…truck was traveling west, on Browns Bridge Road, in the left turn lane. The…truck failed to yield while making a left turn onto Memorial Park Drive. The bus stuck the passenger’s side of the truck, due to the violation.
(Other than the driver of the truck) there were (no other) injuries sustained from the accident.
Both vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene. The bus was occupied by students and were relocated to another bus and taken to their designated locations.
The intersection was shut down approximately 57 minutes, due to the 4:00 accident.”
